It was quite a sight to see them gently walking along the river.

  1. We’ve been in contact with our granddaughter who is studying in Chiang Mai. She had planned to visit the elephant park, however, just as she was able to get that arranged, there was severe flooding and the elephants had to be evacuated from the park in order to be saved. Apparently one lost its life, but overall the rescue efforts were commendable.

    1. Oh, I didn’t read that news until you have said, Terry. It’s so awful to read about the flooding there. True, it would have been very challenging to move more than 100 elephants they have, especially some of the very vulnerable ones. While it’s so sad to know two of them perished, it would not have been easy for them, as I have seen how much they cared for their elephants. It’s very heart breaking but I am sure they would be well prepared in future. My heart goes out to them. 🙏🏼
