Peacocks are considered sacred in India (it’s vehicle to Lord Muruga and Lord Krishna is always depicted with a peacock feather in his crown) and it’s feathers are used in worship.

    1. Apparently peacocks would shed their feathers after every mating season but I don’t know that’s how every seller pick up the feathers. Compared to feathers in consumer products, peacock feathers are very limited and used mostly for worshipping purposes in India. So, I believe certain consideration would have been exercised. Thanks for your query and comments, Deb. Cheers.🙏😊
